On Thursday, April 10 and Friday, April 11, Daniel Tingley volunteers (Caravan), along with Stephanie Kalthoff (MPS Group), Scott McMahon (PPG), Stephen Britton (GM), Kevin Brown (GM), Gloria Beitler (GM), Skip Marshall (GM) and Blue River Watershed Association hiked their way to the Muncie River behind Eisenhower Middle School to help local students conduct water testing. On March 12, Caravan employees in Fairfax, Eddie Thompson, Zack Silcox and Rob Simmons took time to volunteer by building and painting birdhouses. They joined with employees from GM, MPS, the Mayor of Kansas City, Mark Holland, and local students from Douglass Elementary. The birdhouses will be installed near the visitor center later this year to help create a wildlife friendly landscape.

Steve Webber, a Caravan employee who works at the GM Fairfax Assembly Plant has found a way to go above and beyond his assigned duties. Steve collects discarded and lost safety glasses. In order to reduce wasted resources, he takes the collected glasses to GM where they are recycled for reuse. This is a great way to save money and reduce waste.
