DeWayne M. Baker, a member of the Boy Scouts of America, is doing his part in his local community by collecting canned food for the local Capac Food Pantry. We wanted to help in his efforts, so Caravan donated 300 bags to help with food collection. The annual food drive will be held in November and encompasses the entire village of Capac. The bags will be delivered to peoples’ homes along with a note asking for donations. DeWayne and his fellow Scouts will return the following week for pickup. The bags will then be taken to the food pantry and handed out to those who are in need. The Capac Food Pantry provides meals to families in need year round. We applaud DeWayne for this act of community awareness and we are glad to help this young man’s cause.
